Parallels, a start-up whose software enables Macs to run Microsoft Windows and the Mac OS at the same time, says it is ready with a final version of its product. Apple Computer made headlines back in April when it said it would offer its own software--Boot Camp--for loading Windows onto Macs. However, Boot Camp permits people to run only one operating system at a time, meaning either Windows or the Mac OS can be in use, but not both at once. |

Gates announced on Thursday that he will gradually relinquish his current role, ceding the title of chief software architect immediately, while remaining a full-time employee for the next two years. It uses lightweight materials, thinner glass, and fewer electronics than plasma. And unlike an LCD, it has no backlight.

Today, TheTechGuides.com has added a review of Shot Online, a unique game that’s of very few others in its genre. What genre is that you ask? That genre would be the massive multiplayer online role-playing golf game or, as the author of this review, tigrfire, will call it by, MMORPGG. It might just be the longest acronym you’ll use for a genre of video gaming. What does Shot Online have to offer and how does the game play work? How do you successfully implement a golf game online with thousands of people and yet keep it interesting over 80+ character levels? All these questions, along with some others, will be answered in this review. |

If you're at all familiar with robot movies or, even more specifically, with author Isaac Asimov, then you've probably heard about the "Laws of Robotics." These laws have been just fiction for almost 66 years and while no robots that have been created as of yet are of any danger of turning on their masters, a la I, Robot, the Japanese are already fulfilling their roles as futurists by starting to lay the groundwork for the laws that all robots must follow in the robotic society to come in the not so distant future. |
